Justich Council Leader Devor Bramain was assassinated last night in a private transport vehicle supposedly heading to his office for a private meeting with other Council members. All guards and drivers were also killed. Early investigations held independently and by the Council both reveal one individual working in a style similar to that of Paban assassins.
The Council denies any involvement in this tragic event as they have on Tuesday’s failed assassination attempt and demand answers. Unfortunately, there are no plausible suspects in this case, but the investigations continue.

Ophidian fans are going to love this season’s matches, partly because Ophidian has been hiring some new cheerleaders. A few weeks ago, our scouts had the privilege to watch the new cheerleader tryouts and came back with approving grins on their faces. Subj: Justich Leader Survives Assassination
Justich Council Leader Devor Bramain was wounded in an assassination attempt on his life recently. A Paban dressed as a reporter snuck into the Leader’s house. Bramain, by sheer coincidence, was standing within visual range of the gathering media outside his home when the assassin stabbed him in the back. A wave of flashes filled the room and the assassin quickly escaped without a trace. Luckily, Bramain’s masseuse was nearby and saved Bramain with some emergency healing.
Bramain seemed more shocked than injured and left without comment. Several witnesses outside his home swore they didn’t see the Paban until after Bramain was wounded.
“The Paban Assassins have a knack for approaching just out of your field of vision,” said one of the reporters, “Bramain is lucky to be alive.”
Members of House Yorsa Pabas and House Tempra Pabas denied involvement in the assassination. “Although our Pabans make the finest assassins, only a select few work for us. The rest hire themselves out independently and we have no track or records of their affairs.”

Our source, who will remain nameless as always, said after his recent encounter with an assassin, Devor retreated to Ophidian territory. Later that day, our source intercepted a message Devor sent to the Council pleading them for a truce and one last chance so that “he would explain everything.”

Her armor’s made of brightmetal casing, the latest in Pol-tec construction, and Helix adapters.”
