With the rumors of anti-ophidian factions within the council leading the assassination that killed the Council Leader, a tide of change within the council has begun. Many of those who held outspoken opinions against the Ophidians fear trials and that in turn has led many of them to step down. Others have also simply disappeared in recent days or been spotted fleeing the system even while protesting their innocence. Only a brave few remain to take the heat. Whatever the truth behind the allegations, the effect on the political make-up of the council can already be felt and many expect changes for the worst to be the result.
The big question is, will this recent turn of events cause the Council to sweep the whole Ophidian controversy under the rug and if so what effect will that have on the Justich System?
