Biography
Heading the Vanguard Order, we have a charismatic family man and corporate hero - Gerald Grunt, that “aches for the spotlight”, and have a huge obsession with his image and performance. He is bold and unafraid of offending, driven by ego and a sense of entitlement, and his defined by his defiance, to the point that he wants to build a wall to separate the Kistarbak Collective refugees from the rest of the Aerie of Glory population. Ophidian reports speculate that he is the chief of the Vanguard Order, a branch of the Seventh Vanguard - A secret organization formed to monitor the demons and dimensional travel. It is possible that other Vanguards exist serving other functions. The Seventh Vanguard currently monitors and policies all portal travel within the Ophidian Empire dimension.

Note
The Vanguard Order is an organization founded by the ruling councils of dozens of worlds scattered across the galaxy.  Their singular purpose: Discover and Destroy any and all Dracyyr.

They were formed in the early 2300's, and some believe that it was their formation that eventually caused the great Dracyyr Uprising of 2333.

In more recent years, they have begun to exert their unique form of persecution and scrutiny on many innocent beings, extending their mandate to keeping the systems under their "protection" pure and without corruption.  This is, of course, an unofficial addition to their charter.
