DeckTech Article - Multi-Player Fun

DeckTech Article - Multi-Player Fun
Author: Ryan "The System" Patterson

Just coming from a 6 person multiplayer game, I have found a few cards that make this format a lot of fun. Let's first take a look at some of the best bio cards to use in a multi-player deck.

Festering Stink, in the game I played, many gladiators died due to this card. Since you can only affect the person on your right or left, you play it on one of them, then the person on the other side of them will most likely take advantage of the situation. In multi-player, a Gladiator won't survive long with this card on them.

Death's Dust. In the game I played we had 2 of them Face up at one time. Imagine the ways to set this off. Even a few bio cards like Circuit Plague, Projectile Spines, and anything else that can do XDMG and kill of minions.

Most Infectious Disease. Just spending a cheer point to take the flow from anyone just so they take damage from this is nice.

Now for Cybernetics.

Besides some of the basic stuff like Bomb Blastic, Thrasher Blades, and Nutakal Boomrang, which are all great to help set up for Death's Dust, 2 main cards you should use if you intend on focusing on Cybernetics.

Nano-Mites, ain't nothing like stealing some CP from either of the people on your right and left.

Bombers, uh...every character takes 2 XDMG, including those people you cannot affect normally, then imagine if someone had Deaths Dust in play. This did happen in our game, XDMG flying everywhere.

If you want more Mysticism in your deck, then load up on healing cards, especially if people are playing things that have Direct Damage. Sympathy, Lesser Healing, and Probable Healing, should all go in.

Gravel Spirit, level 1 mysticism card, if you have 2 mys gladiators on your team, you should include 3 copies of this card to help protect.

Let Freedom Ring, you can be sure pumps will be flying around, and this is great protection from Festering Stink.

Portal cards you may want to use.

Portal Heist for Pump Removal, see Let Freedom Ring, plus if you have any copies of the pump you just destroyed, go get it.

Royal Guards for Interception, see Gravel Spirit, plus makes a good attacker.

Demented Maggot Swarm for the Direct Damage

Gun-Kipa, his game text can be used on 3 different characters, so use wisely, and think Deaths Dust ;-)

Psy cards, if you need them, Cards to consider, Mute, Fade,
Suffocation for the Pump Removal, IQ Filter to kill off Minions, then the usual and always fun Alter Ego and Confused Alliance to really screw up your opponents.

Now for War, a lot of stuff to have fun with here.

Rocket Launch, Blasting Surge, Electro Spear, Gandrel's Axe, and Assult Jumpack, can all do great XDMG, which in the end, is the best way to deal Damage in Multi-Player games.

When preparing for a Multi-Player game, consider your focus. A deck that Revolves around Deaths Dust and other Direct Damage would be a lot of fun to play, but make sure to keep yourself alive. In the next couple of days I will post a deck based on this, and intended for Multi-player games. Thanks for reading.
