That's right, I want you to Kick me!

Welcome to another Ophidian 2360 Update where we celebrate a few Stretch goals, bringing the deck counts to 47 cards each!  A few more upcoming stretch goals promise additional cards, filling out the decks nicely... here's a sneak peek at one of our newest Gladiators: Grandstander!

Biography: Marcus Killian is one of the most electrifying Gladiators ever to step foot in the Ophidian Arenas. When it comes to his personal life, he is quite secretive, and he never removes his helmet in the presence of cameras. This element of mystery has only made the fans more excited by his presence in the arena, and he is a clear fan favorite. The media has steadily increased the reward level for a clear shot of Marcus Killian unmasked.
Bursting onto the scene as an unknown, Marcus Killian lives on the razor’s edge and has a charisma and devil-may-care attitude that skirts the line between endearing and insane. His tendency to showboat before finishing off his opponents is entertaining and really gets the crowd going.  His finesse and the seeming ease with which he dispatches his opponents can be unnerving.
His goals within the Ophidian Arenas are uncertain, but according to most of his fans and several oddsmakers, Grandstander is the favorite to be this season's Champion.

FAQ

For those that might be asking, what happens when a Gladiator Intercepts an attack that has had its Cheer reward increased (as with cards like Grandstander), the answer is this:  Whenever a Gladiator Intercepts and steals the Cheer, they steal ALL of the Cheer that is currently up for grabs from that attack, unless a card or ability says otherwise.

Grandstander is flashy and exciting, but his showboating can easily turn against his team if he's too cocky and carefree!

Tournament Play

For those who are attending GenCon this year, we will be having two tournaments... an introductory event where we will be teaching and helping the players, and Hack and Slash Games' first officialOphidian tournament.
There will be trophies and many prizes, so you won't want to miss it!
Organized Play will continue in the fall of 2016 with additional support for retailers and event hosts.
