Phase Blades are a versatile and cheap weapon to get into play, however, the maintain makes the long-term cost of Phase Blades higher than some other weapons like Spiked Fists and Sunder Maul. Additionally, Phase Blades are a cybernetics card, which can only be played on warriors. The more warriors you have the more choices you will have when playing phase blades. Cyber War gladiators like Version 9 and Striking Dragon are ideal candidates.

The real advantage of Phase Blades over other weapons besides its cheap play cost is its ability to deal damage to the original target if the attack was intercepted. This means, your opponent cannot fully hide a weak character from attack.
